POSITION: Machine Setup
PURPOSE: To prepare machines for the safe and efficient production of quality parts.
The W/M Display Group is looking for an individual for metal fabricating machine set-up. A successful candidate will possess 3 years experience in metal fabricating, knowledge of electrical systems, and mechanical systems (pneumatic and hydraulic) and machines such as resistance welders, punch presses, press brakes, forming machines and have the ability to identify/analyze problems and make recommendations, bring projects to completion without constant supervision. Excellent communications skills. Able to read engineering drawings and mechanical schematics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Train operators to perform tasks, Insure routing and quality standards are understood.
• Machine are set-up for safety first, quality second, speed third.
• Fixtures and machines will produce work one way, the right way.
• Workstation (set-up and material placement) should allow efficient production. Combine operations whenever possible.
• Insure quality procedures are being followed.
• Insure that the Operators are making quality parts throughout the course of his/her operation by inspecting of parts.
• Maintain hand and machine tools and dies for signs of wear and fatigue.
• Train prospective Set-up People, Tool & Sample Makers.
• Instruct Operator as to safe, and accurate machine operation
• Assist with specialized tooling.
JOB SKILLS & EDUCATION: High School Diploma, math aptitude, ability to use tape measure, protractor, caliper, at least 3 years experience in metal fabricating machine set-up including CNC Operation. Knowledge of electrical systems, and mechanical systems (pneumatic and hydraulic) and machines such as resistance welders, punch presses, press brakes, forming machines. Ability to identify/analyze problems and make recommendations, bring projects to completion without constant supervision. Excellent communications skills. Able to read engineering drawings and mechanical schematics.

W/M Display Group is Hiring an Office Assistant
General Secretary/Office Assistant Part-time – Independent Contractor
The W/M Display Group, located in the Chicago Stockyard Area, 1040 W. 40th Street, is looking for an individual with experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
We require someone who is familiar with the processing production paperwork, typing speed of 50 WPM, A/P, A/R, and excellent experience with Microsoft Office.
JOBBOSS experience is a plus.
Hours 9:00 am – 2:30 p.m. including ½ hour for unpaid lunch.
Pay rate $12.50 per hour, and this position is strictly part-time without any company benefits.
