Sabores had its grand opening on January 5, 2012 to very enthusiastic reviews from diners. The family friendly restaurant will feature traditional Mexican specialties like tamales, tortas, enchiladas, and carne asada. The Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council in collaboration with the Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA), is now taking ALL applications for the low-income home energy assistance program (LIHEAP). BYNC’s CEDA LIHEAP service has been helping the Back of the Yards community for two years now. Ana De La Torre (45) has been a LIHEAP client for more than six years. SSA #10 cleaning crew on the snow move
SSA #10 maintenance crew were on the move to begin plowing the streets in the Back of the Yards Retail Business area on 47th Street and Ashland Avenue as the first snowfall hit the streets in Chicago.
